This 4 1/2 Litre has continuous ownership history from new and retains all of her original numbered components.
Originally fitted with a saloon body, this was replaced early on in life with a two seater beetle backed body. Purchased in this form just after the war, she retained this body and in fact the same owner for the next 48 years by which time she was still complete but in need of restoration.
Acquired by NDR for a client who wanted a complete and sporting Bentley, the restoration was carried out in the early 1990's and here she is thirty years later in remarkably good form. Wanting for nothing, having been continuously maintained, regardless of cost, this sporting, short chassis Bentley benefits from Phoenix crank and rods and original D type gearbox.
Equally competent on the road, circuit, or on rally events which require nimble handling, she has been much enjoyed at home and abroad, on numerous long distance events and specifically has proved a favourite on regular journeys through the Italian mountains.
